This landscape restoration masterplan was a conceptual study completed at Ryerson University. The original landscape was installed after the condominium was built, however, improper plant selection, planting techniques and maintenance practices caused much of the plant material to fail within the first few years.
The restoration features two very distinct landscapes. The landscape at the front entrance of the building provides a rich and welcoming sense of arrival, and blends the building with the surrounding streetscape in this very affluent neighbourhood. The rear of the building faces the Humber River; the landscape seeks to integrate the building with the riparian ecosystem along the river.
