The homeowners recently purchased their first home in a new development in Milton. They are expecting twins in a few months and want a landscape that is easy to take care of, but still looks elegant.
Their neighbourhood doesn't have fencing yet, but it is a priority since their home is on a corner lot and is open to backyards on the east side of the property.
The homeowners also asked for paint colour recommendations for their door and garage. Although they had the option to select paint colours with the builder, they were overwhelmed with the choices and simply picked what they believed was a neutral brown, which they don't like now that they see it on their home.
This project leveraged the existing front walkway and pathways to the backyard, framing them with evergreens and flowering shrubs to provide interest all year round. The new island garden provides dimension to the landscape and helps to obscure the views to neighbouring properties.
